Meet the Owner
Owner & Designer
Hello, my name is Sara, and I am the owner and founder of Yost Yard and Garden Design. I am an experienced landscape designer with a lifelong passion for gardening. With a keen eye for design and a deep commitment to sustainability, I bring a thoughtful blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and ecological awareness to every project.
After returning to school to earn a degree in Horticulture, I began a collaborative venture with a close friend. Together, we combined our creativity and hands-on skills to form our first business. Over time, I felt called to cultivate my own vision, and Yost Yard and Garden Design grew to form that desire - rooted in individuality, innovation, and intentional design.
During the off-season, I expand my work beyond residential landscapes by serving as a garden teacher at a Montessori school. In this role, I guide students in hands-on, nature-based learning, fostering curiosity, responsibility, and a lifelong connection to plants and the natural world. This experience continues to inform my design philosophy, reinforcing the importance of gardens as spaces for growth, learning, and connection at every age.
I love what I do and look forward to sharing my passion and enthusiasm for plants as I help create a garden that reflects your vision and supports the environment around it.

Consultation and Walkthrough
This package includes a 1-2 hour consultation and a thorough walkthrough of your yard. We will discuss any areas in your garden that you want to change, design, or seek advice on. After our visit, you will receive a written summary of our notes and pictures of the suggested plant material.

Consultation, Walkthrough, and Design Plan
This package offers a 1- 2 hour consultation and a thorough walkthrough of your property with you, the client. We take pictures and measurements of the area to be designed. Our design fee is based on the size and complexity of your project. Upon completion, you will receive a hand-drawn design, customized plant presentation, and written summary of our notes.
